HomePod Mini Review

____

At 3. 3 inches tall, the HomePod mini is about the same size as the fourth-gen Echo Dot and considerably smaller than the full-size Echo or Googles Nest Audio. While the HomePod Mini wont dazzle audiophiles with its quality, for the price and size its a very strong and capable speaker Apple is banking on the fact that good audio quality is going to sell here, and for the average music listener you’ll find little to fault, especially when two devices are paired together.

Apple is late to the consumer priced smart speaker market, but it finally joined Amazon and Google with the $99 HomePod Mini. Here’s what you need to know: The Mini is way smaller in size than both the new Amazon Echo fourth generation speaker and Google Nest Audio. And while it doesn’t sound as great for music as either of them, (it is way smaller, after all) in our unscientific home ears test,

There was a time many years back when I was awed by the quality of sound that came from a Bose speaker someone took out of his suit pocket. That was a time when audio quality had a lot to do with the size of the speaker itself. Now, however, speakers have gotten over this problem of physics with some help from software. The best example of this has to be the new Apple HomePod Mini. The Apple

Nearly three years after the original, Apple delivers a $99 smart speaker for the massesIts hard to shake the sense that the smart speaker market would look considerably different had the HomePod Mini arrived several years back. Its not so much that the device is transformative on the face of it, but its impossible to deny that it marks a dramatically different approach to the category than the

Our VerdictFor anyone looking to enter the Apple smart ecosystem, or who has an Apple Music subscription, this is the speaker to go for. It’s far cheaper than some might expect, packing mighty sounds and an elegant design for under $100 / 100 / AU$150. However, Siri and the smart home experience still need some work, even years after launch.One-minute reviewApple is finally back in the smart

Two and a half years ago, Apple finally entered the smart speaker market with the HomePod. It was a unique device instead of prioritizing an accessible price and smart assistant features, it was laser-focused on audio quality and considerably more expensive than its closest competitors from Amazon and Google, while being less capable as a smart speaker. As a result, the HomePod didnt really take

The HomePod Mini is actually Apples second attempt at a smart home speaker. Remember the HomePod? It sounded fantastic, but it was just too expensive to properly compete with offerings from Google and Amazon. Now, Apples latest HomePod Mini is a more reasonable $99 and sounds fantastic for its size. Apple did a great job building in useful features that make this a compelling smart speaker if you

Apple HomePod mini full reviewApple’s HomePod smart speaker is widely admired – for its attractive design and exceptional audio quality, if not for the sophistication of its smart features – but many potential buyers are put off by its price tag. At 279/$299 the 2018 HomePod is a serious purchase. This year Apple has come up with a solution: a smaller and cheaper mini edition of the HomePod,

Apples new HomePod mini is a compact rethink of the more than three-year old HomePod. The original HomePod suffered because of its high price: $349, later reduced to $299; it was for the cash-flush users who wanted sound more than smarts. The $99 HomePod mini is the cheapest Apple device that actually does something (i.e., that isnt a cable, dongle, case, or accessory). Unlike the original

Apple HomePod mini full reviewApple is in the midst of a mini revolution, launching not only the iPhone 12 Mini but the HomePod Mini at its ‘Hi, Speed’ event in October 2020. Though the HomePod Mini is spectacularly small at just 84mm tall, its just as smart as its bigger sibling, and the sound quality is incredible considering its small form factor. But, as we all know, Siri isnt quite up to
